Continuity-of-care operations

What is Life Support?

Life Support is an operations platform for shelters, engagement centers, outreach teams, and other social-service organizations. It gives front-line staff and leadership one place to coordinate client work, daily operations, staffing, incidents, and the handoff to what comes next.

The operational core

The day’s work, connected.

Life Support replaces isolated notes, repeated data entry, and fragile shift-to-shift knowledge with linked operational records and clear next steps.

01

Client records

Searchable profiles, demographics, service notes, incidents, mail, operations, and history in one connected record.

02

Attendance & intake

Engagement-center and shelter attendance flows that connect activity to the right client profile and operational view.

03

Scheduling & staffing

Shift templates, assignments, open-shift visibility, staff profiles, hours, attendance, and workforce coordination.

04

Incident workflows

Incident creation, review, follow-up, manager controls, and redaction-aware export for sensitive reporting work.

05

Shift handoffs

A shared board for operational notes, replies, acknowledgements, announcements, and alerts between teams and shifts.

06

Reports & oversight

Operational summaries, reporting windows, role-aware exports, system visibility, organizations, and access controls.

The purpose

Make the handoff part of the record.

A client’s history, an unresolved incident, a staffing gap, or a promised next step should not disappear when a shift changes. Life Support is designed to keep context attached to the work and make responsibility visible to the people who are authorized to act.

  • For front-line staffFast access to daily tools without exposing platform-administration controls.
  • For managers and directorsReview, follow-up, staffing, reporting, and leadership context for operational decisions.
  • For administratorsOrganization, access, security, system-log, and runtime oversight through privileged workflows.
  • For partner growthA foundation for authorized continuity profiles, cross-location handoffs, service maps, field outreach, and outcome reporting.

Trust & accountability

Sensitive work needs more than a polished screen.

Life Support’s architecture uses server-validated sessions, role and organization scope, privileged multi-factor authentication, access controls, and audit-oriented system events. Those technical controls are one part of a larger privacy and compliance program.

Important: Software features alone do not establish HIPAA or other regulatory compliance. Production use with sensitive data also requires validated deployment controls, policies, training, vendor agreements, risk analysis, and ongoing operational review.
